I am currently reading Brandon Sanderson’s The Way of Kings. I came across this today:
“What does the story mean, then?”
“It means what you want it to mean,” Hoid said. “The purpose of a storyteller is not to tell you how to think, but to give you questions to think upon.”
That pretty much nails it. This is why.
Goals are moving along well. More writing than ever. Soon enough I’ll be caught up with my missed goals and moving on. I can only hope that I am giving you questions to think upon.
I am officially at 10% of my goal for the year. Of course, I should have arrived at that point probably mid-February. Eventually I’ll be ahead of my goal. For now, I just keep moving along.
Speaking of missed goals, I have 52% of my missing words caught up. While I am currently at 14k words, I should actually be closer to 21k. In due time. I am just happy to be creating.
Are you meeting your goals, whatever they might be?
This is our version of Legos Minotaurus. Will let you know how the game goes.
I used to have such an easy time figuring out a name for characters. Now, more often, I sit there and stare and stare and stare at it, trying to figure out what to use. I think part of it us I’m over thinking it. at the same time, I know there are some word combos I repeat a lot. Since I’ve noticed I do that, I try to avoid it. Maybe try too much.
