What to do?

I dove back into my current work for two reasons:

  1. I wanted tell the story
  2. I wanted to finish the work I started

I am now struggling to finish the story. I am close to the end so I still want to see it done. I’m just not in love with it like I once was.

How do you push yourself to finish the story? Or do you just move on to bigger and better things?

  1. Are you looking for advice? If so, I’d say finish the story whether you are in love with it or not, then put it aside. Move on to the next. Some day, when you’re ready, you’ll look back at that story and find a way to possibly rewrite aspects that will make you fall in love with it again.. JMO. :-)

  2. Thanks Lori, definitely looking for advice. I am thinking the same. Push on and see the story to its conclusion.

It’s also possible that I’m in the “this is all a pile of crap” mode. Or at least it feels that way.

Tell me what you think
